Spinbet: Dumbbell Runner

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 August 2026 · Effective: 17 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information the mobile application Spinbet: Dumbbell Runner (the “App”) handles, why, and what choices you have. Please read it before using the App. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the App.

The short version. The App has no accounts and no sign-up. Your training history, your photos and your notes stay on your device. We do not sell your data, we do not run advertising, and we do not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

1. Who is responsible

The App is published and operated by the developer of Spinbet: Dumbbell Runner (“we”, “us”). For any privacy question, or to exercise the rights described in section 9, contact us at [email protected] or through the Support page.

2. No account, no identity

The App does not ask you to register. There is no login, no password, no email address and no phone number required to use any part of it. We do not know your name, and we have no way to connect the App to your real-world identity.

3. Information stored on your device

Everything the App needs in order to work is written to storage inside the App’s own container on your device:

This data is not transmitted to us. It is not backed up to any server we control. It may be included in your own device backups (for example iCloud or an encrypted local backup) if you have enabled them — those backups are governed by Apple’s terms and are under your control, not ours.

4. Device permissions

PermissionWhy the App asksWhat leaves the device
Camera To capture proof of a finished session, to count repetitions on screen, and to create custom in-app imagery. Nothing. Images are processed and stored locally.
Photo library (read) To let you pick an existing photo for use inside the App. Nothing. The selected image stays in the App container.
Photo library (add) Only when you explicitly choose to save an image the App created. Nothing. The image is written to your own library.

Every permission is requested at the moment it is first needed, and every one of them can be refused or later revoked in Settings → Privacy & Security on your device. The App remains usable if you refuse; only the specific feature that needs the permission is unavailable.

The App does not request access to your location, contacts, calendar, microphone recordings, health records or motion history.

5. Optional online features

Some features of the App are optional and require a network connection — for example a public leaderboard, shared group goals, and an optional record that a completed session existed at a given time. If you use them, the following is sent to our server:

Photos, notes, permission data and the contents of your device are never sent as part of this. If you do not use the optional online features, the App works fully offline and sends us nothing.

6. What we do not do

7. Service providers

The server that hosts the optional online features is operated on our behalf by a hosting provider, which processes the data described in section 5 only to keep the service running and under a contract that forbids using it for its own purposes. Apple distributes the App and independently processes purchase and download information under Apple’s Privacy Policy; we receive only aggregated, non-identifying sales and crash statistics from Apple, and only if you have enabled sharing in your own device settings.

8. Retention and deletion

Data stored on your device is kept until you delete it in the App or uninstall the App. Uninstalling removes the App container, including your progress, notes and in-app photos — this cannot be undone by us, because we never held a copy.

Data submitted through the optional online features is retained only as long as the feature needs it, and no longer than 24 months. You can ask us to remove any entry associated with your pseudonymous identifier by contacting us as described in section 1; tell us the nickname you used so we can find it.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability (GDPR/UK GDPR), or the right to know, delete and opt out of sale or sharing (CCPA/CPRA — we do not sell or share data as those terms are defined). Because we hold no account and no identifying information, the practical scope of these rights is limited to the data described in section 5; everything else is under your direct control on your device.

To make a request, write to [email protected]. We answer within 30 days. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Security

Data on your device is protected by the operating system’s app sandbox and file protection. Traffic to our server uses encrypted HTTPS connections. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but the App is deliberately designed to keep the sensitive material — your photos and your notes — off the network entirely.

12. International transfers

The limited data described in section 5 may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence. Where that involves a transfer out of the EEA or the UK, it is made under the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism.

13. Legal bases (EEA/UK)

We rely on your consent for camera and photo library access, which you can withdraw at any time in your device settings; on the performance of a contract for delivering the optional online features you choose to use; and on our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and functional.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the App changes. The revised version is published on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will also be announced in the App before they take effect. Continuing to use the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.

15. Contact

Questions, complaints or deletion requests: [email protected] — or use the Support form. We reply to every message.
